Newcastle United Under-18s were held to a 1-1 draw against their Stoke City counterparts in the Under-18 Premier League North on Good Friday.
After a goalless first-half at the Potters' Clayton Wood training ground, the league clash sprung into life as Josh Donaldson broke the deadlock for the Toon teenagers, the centre-forward's sixth league goal of the 2022/23 campaign at under-18 level.
However, Graeme Carrick's side were denied back-to-back wins for the first time since September in the closing stages as Justin Iwobi equalised for the hosts.
Newcastle United Under-18s are back in action on Tuesday, 11th April when the young Magpies host Liverpool's under-18 side at United's Little Benton Academy.
