Newcastle United Under-18s secured an emphatic 6-1 away win against their Wolverhampton Wanderers counterparts in the Under-18 Premier League North on Saturday.
The young Magpies fell behind at Compton following Josh Esen's opener before strikes from Shaun Mavididi, Luke Craggs and Johnny Emerson gave the visitors a commanding lead at the half-time break.
Darren Palmer extending Newcastle's advantage in the second-half before goals from Anthony Munda and Sean Neave rounded off a terrific victory for Graeme Carrick's side, their first on the road since October.
In the 9th minute, Wolves took the lead through Esen, who was on hand to tap the ball home after Trialist accelerated down the right wing before cutting the ball into the forward's path.
However, Newcastle responded in bright fashion as Mavididi equalised for the Toon Teenagers, registering his first goal of the 2022/23 campaign in the process.
On the half-hour mark, Craggs sent Newcastle ahead as the teenage defender headed home his maiden goal at under-18 level.
Six minutes later, Newcastle added a third through Emerson. The 17-year-old winger, who made his under-21s debut at the age of 16 in December 2021, was on hand to fire the ball into the net, extending his goalscoring streak to four in three league fixtures at under-18 level.
In the second-half, Newcastle continued where they left off in the first as Palmer, who signed a full-time scholarship at the Magpies' Academy last summer, netted United's fourth following an assist from substitute Josh Donaldson.
Munda netted Newcastle's fifth in the 77th minute, collecting Donaldson's pass before firing the ball beyond the Wolves goalkeeper, recording his third goal of the current campaign.
With the full-time whistle approaching, Neave got his name on the scoresheet as the substitute, introduced to the field of play three minutes prior, rifled the ball into the net to add gloss to the scoreline.
