Johnny Emerson's late strike maintained Newcastle United Under-18s' 100 per cent winning home streak this season following a 3-2 victory against their Wolverhampton Wanderers counterparts om Saturday.
The Toon teenagers trailed inside 36 minutes of their Under-18 Premier League North clash at the Magpies' Little Benton Academy following Dani Ángel's strike for the visitors.
However, Sean Neave's quick-fire brace, taking the 16-year-old striker's goalscoring tally to 12 across all competitions at under-18 level so far this term, sent Newcastle's youngsters ahead.
Graeme Carrick's side found themselves back on level terms in the latter stages of the contest following Fraser Harper's equaliser before Emerson, a representative of Scotland at under-19 level, netted in the 86th minute to record a seventh competitive home win in a row.
