Saturday's home fixture against Leicester City will mark Alan Pardew's 700th game as a manager.
Having started his managerial career at Reading back in 1999, he has since had spells at West Ham United, Charlton Athletic and Southampton before his arrival at St. James' Park in December 2010 following the departure of Chris Hughton.
It has been a career full of highs and lows and Pardew looks back on the majority of it with great fondness.
But the boss has placed sentiment to one side and is instead solely focussed on picking up the three points which would push United up the Barclays Premier League table.
"It's not easy at the moment but there have been some easier times, certainly when you're winning, things can fall into place," explained the man who led Newcastle to fifth place in 2011/12 and the quarter-finals of the Europa League the following season.
"Where we are right now, we are right it and it can make things a bit stressful, but I've enjoyed about 80 per cent of those games so it's been pretty good.
"But the most important matter is where we are right now, the Club is desperate for a win and I want to deliver it on Saturday."
