Benfica paid tribute to former Newcastle United boss Sir Bobby Robson before Thursday's Europa League quarter-final second leg tie at St. James' Park.
President LuÃs Filipe Vieira, manager Jorge Jesus and captain Luisão laid a wreath at the statue of the ex-Magpies and England supremo, which stands on the South-West corner of the stadium.
Robson spent four years as a club manager in Portugal between 1992 and 1996, taking charge of Benfica's neighbours Sporting Lisbon before moving on to FC Porto.
