Ever-Present Santon Feeling Good
Written by Newcastle Utd
Davide Santon is Newcastle's only league ever-present this season and believes his happiness off the pitch is helping him on it

Only one Newcastle United player has been an ever-present in the Barclays Premier League so far this season: Italian star Davide Santon.
The former Inter Milan full-back, whose form earned him a recall to the Azzurri national side in November, has started all 22 league games for the Magpies.
And unsurprisingly, he's also joint-top of the appearances table in all competitions. The 22-year-old has played 26 times in all out of a possible 32 games, the same as Papiss Cisse.
Speaking to the official Newcastle United matchday programme last month, Santon said: "I now feel confident on the pitch and I am happy with the way I am playing.
"It helps that I am happy in the city too. Newcastle is a nice place and the people here are good. Everybody at the Club is amazing to me and I am happy when I am training and when I am in my spare time.
"When you are happy in your life I think you can play your best on the pitch. But having said that, I am not completely happy as I want us to be winning games."
Vurnon Anita, James Perch and Mike Williamson have all played 25 times across the league, Capital One Cup, FA Cup and Europa League while Shola Ameobi, Tim Krul and Sylvain Marveaux have each made 21 appearances in all.
