Siem de Jong and Rolando Aarons will make their full Newcastle United debuts in the Magpies' Capital One Cup second round tie away at Gillingham on Tuesday (7.45pm kick-off).
The duo have both appeared off the substitutes' bench so far this season, and manager Alan Pardew has handed them starting spots in Kent against United's League One opponents.
De Jong is one of five full internationals starting for Newcastle at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium, as Pardew names a strong and experienced side for the cup tie - Tim Krul, Daryl Janmaat, captain Fabricio Coloccini and Moussa Sissoko the others.
United are expected to line-up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with goalkeeper Krul protected by a back four of Janmaat, Steven Taylor, Coloccini and Massadio Haidara.
Sissoko and Mehdi Abeid will anchor the visitors' midfield, with a trio of Gabriel Obertan, de Jong and 18-year-old Aarons ahead of them.
And they will be providing the ammunition for front man Emmanuel Riviere, who arrived from Monaco in the summer.
On the substitutes' bench there are places for summer signings Remy Cabella, Ayoze Perez and Facundo Ferreyra, who join Yoan Gouffran, Vurnon Anita, Paul Dummett and Rob Elliot among the replacements.
