Jonas Gut-ed To Miss Baggies Clash

Suspension means Argentine will be forced to cheer on team-mates at Hawthorns

By Craig Hope

JONAS Gutierrez admits that he will cut a frustrated observer this weekend with a one-match suspension seeing him miss out on the all-important trip to basement boys West Brom.

The Argentine has figured in the last 18 matches for Joe Kinnear but, having picked up his fifth booking of the season at Man City last week, will now be forced to watch from the stands at The Hawthorns.

"It will be hard missing such an important game," said Gutierrez.

"But when I was booked at Man City I thought that maybe I would miss the Sunderland match and I was happy when that was not the case.

"Now though, because of the fixtures, I have three weeks without a game.

"I do not like watching because you always want to be out playing, especially when we need the points so badly.

"But I think we are good enough to win at West Brom this weekend, that would be a big boost for everyone."
