Alex Gilliead scored his first senior goal on Saturday, as Carlisle United triumphed 1-0 over Exeter City in League Two.
The 19-year-old forward, who is on loan at Brunton Park until the end of the season, capped an outstanding individual performance with the only goal of the game on 77 minutes.
Gilliead turned home Derek Asamoah's pass from 12 yards to secure all three points for the Cumbrians, who climbed into the play-off places and are only seven points off top spot.
Fellow Magpie Macaulay Gillesphey, who also recently extended his loan with Carlisle, was not involved on Saturday.
In League One, Shane Ferguson helped Millwall move into midtable with a 2-0 home victory over struggling Swindon Town.
The Northern Ireland international played 66 minutes of the clash at the New Den, and during that time Lee Gregory and Aiden O'Brien netted for the Lions.
Elsewhere in the same division, Adam Armstrong's Coventry City played out a goalless draw with Blackpool at the Ricoh Arena.
The England Under-19 forward played the full 90 minutes but was unable to add to his tally of eight goals for the campaign on a frustrating afternoon.
In the Championship, Sammy Ameobi suffered the same fate as Armstrong, as Cardiff City had to settle for a point in a stalemate away at Preston North End.
Handed a starting role for the play-off chasing Bluebirds, Ameobi sent a volley over the bar midway through the second half before being replaced in the final minute.
Finally, in France, Remy Cabella helped Marseille claim a 1-1 home draw with Lorient on Sunday.
Deployed in a free role behind the lone striker, Cabella played the full match at the Stade Velodrome, where both goals came in the first half.
