There have been international call-ups for Fabricio Coloccini, Papiss Cisse, Demba Ba, Cheick Tiote and Curtis Good
By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Club Reporter
Fabricio Coloccini has been called up to the Argentina squad for their international friendly against Saudi Arabia in November.
United's captain has been in typically superb form so far this campaign, and has been rewarded for his impressive displays at the heart of the Magpies' defence with a chance to win his 35th cap.
Argentina face Saudi Arabia in Riyadh on Wednesday, 14th November - in between Newcastle's home fixtures against West Ham United and Swansea City.
Also on international duty that week will be African trio Papiss Cisse, Demba Ba and Cheick Tiote.
Strikers Cisse and Ba are part of the Senegal squad which will travel to Niger for a friendly on Wednesday, 14th November, while on the same day, Tiote's Ivory Coast are away at Austria in friendly action.
Teenage Australian defender Curtis Good will represent the Young Socceroos at the forthcoming AFC Under 19 Championships, in United Arab Emirates.
Australia have been drawn in Group D and will take on Qatar this Sunday, before facing Syria (Tuesday, 6th November) and then Saudi Arabia (Thursday, 8th November)
The top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout stage, which begins with the quarter-finals and all four semi-finalists will automatically qualify for the FIFA Under 20 World Cup, which will be held in Turkey in June/July 2013.
