Newcastle United's Matt Ritchie and Grant Hanley have been named in Gordon Strachan's latest Scotland squad

Newcastle United duo Matt Ritchie and Grant Hanley have been named in the Scotland squad for their FIFA World Cup qualifier against Malta.
Gordon Strachan's Tartan Army travel to Ta'Qali for a 7.45pm kick-off on 4th September and, having narrowly missed out on a place in Euro 2016 the Scots will be determined to get their World Cup qualifying campaign off to a flying start.
Ritchie, who has ten caps for Scotland, has been in outstanding form for the Magpies following his summer transfer from AFC Bournemouth while Dumfries-born Hanley, who has played 23 times for his country, made his Newcastle debut on the opening day of the season at Fulham.
