Canadians fall to second defeat of U20 tournament as Austria run out 1-0 winners

By Craig Hope

CANADIAN defender David Edgar again found himself on the losing side as the Under-20 World Cup hosts were beaten 1-0 by Austria.

The 20-year-old played the full 90 minutes as Rubin Okotie's 47th minute header condemned Canada to their second defeat of the tournament in sweltering conditions in Edmonton.

The Canadians' hopes of qualification from the group stage are now slim having been beaten 3-0 by Chile in their opening fixture.

Their final group game is against the DR Congo on Sunday.
