Lascelles' late leveller (2017)
Newcastle secured an important point in their race for the Championship title, with skipper Jamaal Lascelles netting a crucial volley during a thrilling draw at Carrow Road.
The Magpies led after just 23 seconds, with Ayoze Pérez's placed effort sending the away side into an early lead before two quick-fire goals, courtesy of current Newcastle winger Jacob Murphy and Cameron Jerome, turned the game in Norwich's favour.
However, a spirited response from Rafa Benítez's side was ultimately rewarded as, despite Matt Ritchie striking the underside of the crossbar, Lascelles' sweet finish secured a point to keep United top of the Championship.
Andy, Andy Cole! (1994)
Newcastle continued their impressive debut season in the Premier League after recording a 2-1 away win over Norwich.
Mark Bowen's strike within the opening five minutes sent the Canaries into an early lead before the prolific striking partnership of Beardsley and Cole proved too hot for Norwich to handle.
After Beardsley levelled the scoring in the first half, Cole - situated on 21 league goals before facing Norwich in January - grabbed a late match winner to propel United into the top four of England's top tier.
Cole was awarded the 1993/94 PFA Young Player of the Year award after netting a club record 41 goals in all competitions along with producing a total of 65 goals alongside Beardsley.
We've got Mirandinha! (1989)
Newcastle ended a unwanted record of eight games without a win at Norwich as goals from Brazilian forward Mirandinha and Irish midfielder Liam O'Brien sealing a 2-0 triumph.
Despite achieving eighth in the First Division the previous term, United were fighting for survival after the record sale of rising star Paul Gascoigne to Tottenham Hotspur and the sacking of manager Willie McFaul.
Mirandinha - the first Brazilian to play in English football - had suffered with a multiple of injuries throughout the 1988/89 campaign but managed to get his name on the scoresheet as Jim Smith's men followed up an impressive 2-0 win over Everton with a victory over the Canaries.
However, Mirandinha's nine league goals were not enough to ensure United's safety as a winless run in the final nine league matches resulted in relegation to the Second Division after a 20th-place finish.
SuperMac tames the Canaries (1973)
Striker Malcolm Macdonald netted the only goal in a 1-0 win over relegation-threatened Norwich during the 1972/73 season.
Macdonald - United's fifth highest goalscorer of all time with 121 goals - continued to impress under manager Joe Harvey after scoring 23 league goals in 42 appearances during his maiden season with the Magpies.
Newcastle earned a top-half finish after ending the campaign in ninth spot on 45 points, with Macdonald scoring 17 times in 35 league outings.
Unbelievable Geoff! (1975)
Newcastle midfielder Geoff Nulty netted a brace as the Magpies secured the double over the Canaries in the 1975/76 campaign.
United's starting eleven contained forwards Malcolm Macdonald and Alan Gowling - both of whom netted braces of their own in the reverse 5-2 victory at St. James' Park.
However, it was the Lancashire-born midfielder who stole the glory with two goals of his own as United went on to finish 15th in the First Division along with reaching the League Cup final for the first time in the club's history, losing 2-1 to Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.
