In pictures: Barnes in the USA

Harvey Barnes flew into Philadelphia on Saturday evening before being officially announced as Newcastle United's third signing of the summer the following morning.

And he could make his Magpies debut in Sunday's Premier League Summer Series opener against Aston Villa at the Lincoln Financial Field.

The former Leicester man met his new colleagues and coaches at the team hotel before giving his first interview to NUFC TV and posing for photographs ahead of his unveiling.

Then on Sunday morning, shortly after the move was confirmed, he joined the rest of the squad in visiting the famous east entrance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art - aka 'The Rocky Steps.'

Barnes will be looking to show that he's got the Eye of the Tiger should he feature against Villa. United also face Chelsea at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Wednesday 26th July, then round the trip off with a match against Brighton at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey on Friday, 28th July.

Then, when they return to the UK, the Magpies will round off their friendly fixtures with home games against Fiorentina and Villarreal on consecutive days on the first weekend of August in the Sela Cup, presented by VisitMalta - tickets are on sale here.
