In pictures: Magpies win at Leeds

Jonjo Shelvey's second-half free kick gave Newcastle United their first away win of the season at Elland Road on Saturday.

The England international struck with 15 minutes left to spark scenes of celebration in the away section - and more memorable scenes at the final whistle.

Eddie Howe's men put their bodies on the line from the start against an in-form Leeds side, with Joelinton, Paul Dummett and captain Jamaal Lascelles all picking up injuries as the Magpies claimed a vital three points.

The result extended Newcastle's unbeaten run to three matches in the Premier League, and saw them leapfrog Watford and move to within a point of Norwich, with a game in hand on the Canaries.

Club photographer Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from the game.
