Chris Wood became Newcastle United's second signing of the January transfer window after joining the club from Burnley on Thursday.
But the groundwork for the deal was laid in a hectic 24-hour period on Wednesday, with the New Zealand international arriving at the Magpies' training ground that morning to complete his medical before putting pen to paper.
