Toon in training: Magpies ready for Old Trafford test

Old Trafford hasn't been a happy hunting ground for Newcastle United in recent seasons - the Magpies' last victory there came in 2013, and the one before that it was 1972, but Steve Bruce's side are looking to change that on Sunday.

The Newcastle head coach - who lifted 12 trophies as a Manchester United player - has no new injury concerns ahead of the game and has seen Federico Fernández return to training in recent days, although the Argentine defender won't feature at the weekend. Jeff Hendrick is available again following a one-match suspension.

The Magpies have beaten the Red Devils twice at St. James' Park over the past three seasons, and Matt Ritchie - who scored the winner in February 2018 - and Matty Longstaff  - who grabbed the only goal of the game in October 2019 - both trained on Friday.

Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from the Magpies' Benton HQ.
