Toon in training: Saint-Maximin hoping to Spur on the Magpies

Allan Saint-Maximin could play at least some part against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, with the Frenchman having trained all week ahead of the game.

The Magpies haven't won since he limped out of February's draw with Wolves so his return - which follows Miguel Almirón's comeback from injury at Brighton & Hove Albion last time out - is a big boost for Steve Bruce ahead of the final nine matches of the campaign.

Top scorer Callum Wilson is also making progress from the hamstring injury he sustained against Southampton two months ago, but Bruce has admitted that the England international striker is unlikely to face Spurs, who he scored a late equaliser against when the two sides met in North London back in September.

United's international contingent have all returned seemingly unscathed, with Martin Dúbravka taking part in Friday's training session following a stomach complaint which kept him out of two of Slovakia's three matches over the last few days. The goalkeeper's partner, Lucia, gave birth to the couple's first child, Viliam, on Wednesday, and the 32-year-old is set to keep his place between the posts at the weekend.

With Isaac Hayden expected to miss the rest of the season, Bruce will make at least one change on Sunday and Serena Taylor brought nufc.co.uk this gallery from the Magpies' Benton base.
