Exclusive Danny Rose interview in Sunday's free programme

Although no supporters will be able to attend the Magpies' remaining matches this season, Newcastle United is still producing its award-winning matchday programme - and it's free.

The coronavirus outbreak has meant many changes to everybody's usual matchday routine, and that includes the traditional stop at one of the programme kiosks on the way to St. James' Park.

But the club have continued to produce digital-only editions of UNITED for the three home games since the 2019/20 season restarted – and you can now read the fourth issue since football returned, for Sunday afternoon’s visit of West Ham United.

Danny Rose – who has been a big part of the Magpies side which has made it five Premier League games unbeaten – is the cover start for the clash with David Moyes’ men.

The on-loan England full back celebrated his 30th birthday on Thursday and gave an exclusive interview to UNITED, discussing lockdown, the return of football and – of course – fish and chips.

And you can read the interview, and much more, for free here. You will require a modern smartphone, tablet or computer, a strong wi-fi connection (the programme will work on mobile data but is a large download) and the latest version of Chrome, Firefox or Safari.

If you have any trouble reading please check the above criteria are met, then try clearing the cache of your browser and reloading. Supporters are welcome to download and print out the programme for their own collections.

There’s plenty more to enjoy inside this weekend’s issue, too, as Federico Fernández answers questions from supporters via the medium of a video call in the new feature, Zoom Army, and new signing Mark Gillespie, who penned a three-year deal with his boyhood club this week, reflects on his return to Tyneside.

Club historian Paul Joannou takes a look back at the other occasions on which the Magpies have played competitive fixtures in the month of July, while Stan Gate delves into the club’s colourful history with the help of a string of archive match photos.

There's also the usual guide to the opposition, a half-time quiz and columns from head coach Steve Bruce and skipper Jamaal Lascelles.

Sunday's edition of UNITED is now available to read and download here.
