It's Non-League Day 2019 on Saturday...

Written by Rory Mitchinson

It’s the tenth annual Non-League Day this Saturday, with a number of fixtures taking place across the North East.

Partnered by Prostate Cancer UK, Non-League Day was set up in 2010 by Queens Park Rangers supporter James Doe. Always scheduled to coincide with an international break, the initiative encourages supporters of clubs at the highest levels of the game to go along and check out a team plying their trade further down the pyramid.

As ever, there are plenty of options for United fans to choose from, including those listed below.

Vanarama National League North

Darlington vs. Boston United

Gateshead vs. Gloucester City

Buildbase FA Trophy

Dunston UTS vs. Ossett United

BetVictor Northern Premier League Premier Division

Morpeth Town vs. Basford United

Ebac Northern League

There are games at Hebburn Town, Newcastle Benfield, Newton Aycliffe, Sunderland RCA and Whickham in Division One, while Billingham Synthonia, Birtley Town, Brandon United, Heaton Stannington, Newcastle University, Tow Law Town, Washington and Willington are at home in Division Two.

Buildbase FA Vase

A handful of the region’s clubs are away in the competition’s First Round, but Jarrow, Seaham Red Star, Shildon, Sunderland Ryhope C.W. and Thornaby are all at home.
