Loan Watch: Aarons on scoresheet for Wycombe

Written by Luke Vinton

Rolando Aarons was on target for Wycombe Wanderers but ended on the losing side as the Chairboys suffered a 2-1 defeat against Fulham Under-21s in the Leasing.com Trophy.

The 23-year-old forward made an instant impact from the substitutes' bench on Tuesday night after scoring within four minutes of the second half, cancelling out Jayden Harris' early opener for the Cottagers.

However, Timmy Abraham - brother of Chelsea forward Tammy - scored the winner in the Southern Group G tie at Adams Park to confirm Wycombe's exit from the competition.

Aarons continued his positive form in front of goal after netting his first goal for Gareth Ainsworth's side, bagging the winner in Wycombe's 1-0 home victory against Shrewsbury Town to move the League One outfit to the top of the third tier.
