Manchester United U18s 1 Newcastle U18s 1

Written by Dan King

Newcastle's under-18s came from behind to earn a draw at Manchester United on Saturday.

Dave Watson's side are still looking for their first win of the season but have drawn all three of their away games.

After a goalless first half, the Red Devils took the lead just after the hour mark as Arnau Puigmal's free kick beat Nathan Harker.

But the Magpies responded well and almost levelled ten minutes later, only for Adam Wilson's effort to be cleared off the line.

However, Watson's side refused to be denied and their equaliser came soon afterwards, with Jack Young netting his first competitive goal at this level.

United are at home to Blackburn on Saturday, with a 12.30pm kick-off at Little Benton.

Newcastle United Under-18s: Nathan Harker, Max Allen, Kieren Aplin, Lewis Cass, Oisin McEntee, Jack Young, Thomas Allan, Mace Goodridge, Elias Sorensen (Thomas Cole 78), Kelland Watts, Adam Wilson

Subs not used: Isaac Gamblin, Dan Langley, Kurtis Russell, Deece Kasinga
