Milne-Redhead: I absolutely love it!

Milne-Redhead has been a key member of the Newcastle engine room since swapping Coventry United Women for Tyneside in January, and she has contributed heavily to the Lady Magpies' continued momentum with United winning each of the three games she's played so far.

And following her bedding-in period at the club, the 20-year-old feels she is now 'finding her feet' in a black and white shirt.

"I've absolutely loved my first few weeks at Newcastle," she told nufc.co.uk. "Everyone I've met has been so welcoming and supportive. The city itself is beautiful.

"I feel like I'm beginning to find my feet now and I'm absolutely loving playing."

Part of the reason Milne-Redhead has adapted to life in Becky Langley's team is Newcastle's passionate supporters, with the Scotland youth international playing in front of more than 4,000 fans in United's 4-2 win over York City Ladies in February and over 2,000 when the Magpies defeated Middlesbrough Women 2-0 nine days later.

"Where do I start? The supporters have been unbelievable," she added. "Being a big football fan, I have always been aware of the Geordies and their amazing support but witnessing it first-hand is something else.

"As cliche as it sounds, they really are our 12th player. We want to put on a show for them, entertain them, and get the three points for them."

Looking ahead to the remainder of the season, and beyond, the midfielder says Newcastle Women's overarching aims are apparent.

"Newcastle show huge ambition as a club," she said. "Although at the minute it is very much an 'every game as it comes' philosophy, you can tell there is an overriding goal and aim to match the men's team and play in cup finals and in the WSL (Women's Super League).

"I knew I was coming into an ambitious team pushing for promotion, with a set of fantastic coaches and fans backing them."

On International Women's Day, it was announced that Newcastle United Women will plat at St. James' Park for a third time inside the last 12 months on Sunday, 16th April, when they take on Bradford City Women in the FA Women's National League Division One North (kick-off 2pm BST). And before that, they face league leaders Durham Cestria at Kingston Park on Tuesday, 14th March. Kick-off is at 7.45pm (GMT) and tickets, priced at £3 for adults and £1 for under-16s, are available here.
