Play your part in a safe rail network

British Transport Police (BTP) is encouraging supporters to report any instances of anti-social behaviour during their journeys to and from matches.

Any incidents which make supporters feel uncomfortable whilst travelling on the rail network or at stations can be reported to the nearest member of staff or police officer, or by texting relevant details to BTP on 61016.

Club officials have recently met with BTP to discuss feedback from football supporters, other passengers and staff, as well as ideas around encouraging positive behaviour while travelling.

While the vast majority of rail passengers behave impeccably, British Transport Police is keen to ensure the safety of everyone using the network.

With the full support of clubs, British Transport Police takes a firm stance against anti-social behaviour.

Newcastle United will work closely with authorities to identify anyone involved in incidents. Any football supporters involved can expect to receive substantial bans from the club, which could subsequently result in court proceedings and football banning orders being issued.

Both the club and BTP thank Newcastle United supporters for co-operation and wish them a safe and pleasant journey to Liverpool on Saturday (kick-off 12:30pm BST).
