Premier League confirm 2024/25 fixture release date

The Premier League have announced that Newcastle United, along with the 19 other top flight clubs, will find out their schedule for the 2024/25 season when the fixtures for the new campaign are released in June.

Dates for all 380 matches will be released at 9am BST on Tuesday, 18th June, meaning the Magpies will learn who they will face and when in the new term just under a month on from their final outing of 2023/24 at Brentford in May.

The 2024/25 season will start on Saturday, 17th August - 90 days after the 2023/24 Premier League concludes - and will consist of 33 weekends, four midweek round of matches and one Bank Holiday matchweek.

The final match round of the 2024/25 season will be played on Sunday, 25th May 2025, when all matches will kick off simultaneously as usual.

The Premier League have also confirmed that, in keeping with previous commitments made to clubs to address the congested schedule across Christmas and New Year, arrangements will be made to allow more rest time over three of the festive match rounds, with no club playing within 60 hours of another match. There will be no fixture on Tuesday, 24th December 2024.

The mid-season break has also been removed from the calendar to allow a mid-August start to the league season, allowing clubs to be better able to ensure that players get a consecutive three-week break in the summer.
