St. James' Park named UK's best hospitality venue
Newcastle United's St. James' Park stadium has scooped a host of top industry accolades at The Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards 2023 - including the sought-after Overall Matchday Hospitality Award.
The prestigious event - held this year at St. Mary's stadium in Southampton - recognises the efforts and dedication shown by the catering, conference and events teams at every football, rugby and cricket stadium across the UK.
The Magpies picked up the top award in an incredible four categories, as well as a silver and bronze in others.
The stadium was named the best Overall Matchday Hospitality venue in the country and Best Stadium Events Venue, as well as picking up the Non-Matchday Mystery Shopper and Matchday Hospitality awards.
Newcastle United CEO, Darren Eales, said: "This is fantastic news. It shows on and off the pitch that we are striving for the highest possible standards right across the club.
"This is a real team effort and I'd like to thank everyone involved in making St. James' Park a wonderful place to be."
Malissa Charlton, sales manager for the club's catering partner, Sodexo, said: "We are thrilled to have won.
