Team news: Magpies unchanged for Eagles clash, Wilson named on bench

Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe has named an unchanged starting XI ahead of the Magpies' Premier League trip to Crystal Palace on Wednesday night (kick-off 8pm BST).

United travel to Selhurst Park in search of a third successive league win for the first time since September and Howe has elected for the same XI which claimed an emphatic 4-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur at St. James' Park.

Martin Dúbravka, who has kept three clean sheets in his last five games against the Eagles, features in-between the sticks behind a backline involving Fabian Schär, Dan Burn and Emil Krafth.

Jacob Murphy, who provided a goal and two assists in the reverse 4-0 win against Palace in October, retains his place while Elliot Anderson makes his 50th appearance for his boyhood club this evening.

Bruno Guimarães, who avoided a two-match ban against Spurs despite being one yellow card away from suspension for an 11-game spell, will be situated in the middle of the park along with Sean Longstaff, who was also on target in a 4-0 win against Palace at St. James' Park.

Harvey Barnes and Anthony Gordon will likely provide support on the respective flanks for Swedish frontman Alexander Isak, who has netted seven goals in his last six Premier League matches.

Callum Wilson has been named on the substitutes' bench, with the England international aiming to mark his return to competitive action after suffering a pectoral injury during the Magpies' 3-2 away win against Nottingham Forest in February.

Howe also has a number of defensive options to deploy from the bench, including Tino Livramento, Lewis Hall and Paul Dummett.

Young trio Joe White, Ben Parkinson and Alex Murphy have also been named on the bench while Loris Karius is the substitute goalkeeper.

Newcastle United: Martin Dúbravka, Emil Krafth, Fabian Schär, Dan Burn (c), Jacob Murphy, Bruno Guimarães, Sean Longstaff, Elliot Anderson, Harvey Barnes, Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak.

Substitutes: Loris Karius, Tino Livramento, Alex Murphy, Paul Dummett, Lewis Hall, Matt Ritchie, Joe White, Callum Wilson, Ben Parkinson.
