Team news: Two changes and trio back on the bench at Burnley

Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has made two changes to his starting line-up for Saturday's trip to Burnley, with Callum Wilson and Emil Krafth coming into the side - while Nick Pope, Joelinton and Miguel Almirón could make their returns from injury after being named on the bench.

The Magpies head to Turf Moor (kick-off 3pm BST) hoping to put a dent in the Clarets' hopes of avoiding relegation from the Premier League, and Wilson and Krafth have been restored to the side in place of Fabian Schär and Elliot Anderson for the game against Vincent Kompany's men while Pope, Joelinton and Almirón will hope to feature after being sidelined since December, January and March respectively.

Martin Dúbravka is in goal, with Krafth coming in to partner Dan Burn in central defence and Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall in the full back positions.

Bruno Guimarães is in the middle of the park alongside Sean Longstaff, with Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon providing width on the flanks and Wilson leading the line along with the in-form Alexander Isak.

Former Burnley stopper Pope returns to Turf Moor and takes his place among the substitutes next to Joelinton and Almirón, while Paul Dummett, Harvey Barnes and Matt Ritchie are also named.

Anderson is on the bench too, as are youngsters Joe White and Alex Murphy.

Newcastle United: Martin Dúbravka; Tino Livramento, Emil Krafth, Dan Burn, Lewis Hall; Jacob Murphy, Bruno Guimarães, Sean Longstaff, Anthony Gordon; Callum Wilson, Alexander Isak.

Substitutes: Nick Pope, Paul Dummett, Alex Murphy, Matt Ritchie, Joelinton, Joe White, Elliot Anderson, Miguel Almirón, Harvey Barnes.
