Under-23s begin pre-season preparations against Pools
Newcastle United's under-23s will be begin their pre-season preparations with a behind-closed-doors friendly against Hartlepool United next week.
The National League side will make the short journey to United's Little Benton Academy on Monday, 31st August for a 3pm (BST) kick-off.
United's Premier League 2 campaign was cut short by the coronavirus outbreak in March, with a points per game methodology used to determine the Magpies' final league position of sixth in Division Two.
