Watch Newcastle United Women v Wolves Women live on NUFC TV on Sunday

Newcastle United Women's promotion challenge continues on Sunday - and their home fixture against Wolves Women will be broadcast live on NUFC TV.

The Magpies lost for the first time in the league this season in their last home game, falling to a late goal against Nottingham Forest Women, but promotion from the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division is still in their hands as the run-in approaches.

Newcastle are top of the the table, four points ahead of last season's champions Forest - and fifth-placed Wolves will be another examination of Becky Langley's side's credentials as they eye a second successive promotion.

As well as leading the league standings, United have the highest average attendance in the division; a crowd of 4,172 turned out for November's 5-0 win over Stourbridge Women, while United were watched by crowds of 28,565 and 24,092 at St. James' Park last season, as well as beating West Brom Women 3-0 in front of another sizeable attendance at the stadium as part of the Sela Cup in pre-season.

Kick-off at Kingston Park this weekend is at 14:00 GMT and ticket prices are £5 for adults and £1 for children, with another big crowd expected.

But supporters who can't make the match will be able to watch for free on NUFC TV, while the game will also be streamed live on Newcastle United's official YouTube channel.

Commentary will come from former Lioness Aran Embleton, a Newcastle fan from Cramlington who became one of the first women from the North East to represent England and played in the Women's FA Cup final for Doncaster Belles in 2000, and United defender Jodie Bartle, who is nearing a return from a long-term injury.

New signings Paige Bailey-Gayle and Lia Cataldo could make their Magpies debuts following their loan arrival from Crystal Palace Women, while Naomi Bedeau will face one of her former clubs.

Can Langley's lasses take another big step towards the Women's Championship with three more points? Buy tickets here or watch live on NUFC TV or YouTube from 14:00 GMT on Sunday.
