Youth Cup tie to be staged at St. James'

Newcastle United Under-18s' FA Youth Cup fourth round tie against Colchester United will take place at St. James' Park on Monday night (kick-off 7pm GMT).

Peter Ramage's side secured their passage into round four following a 3-2 away win at West Ham United last month and have been rewarded with a home clash against the U's, who claimed a 3-0 win over Arsenal in the previous round.

The cup clash was originally due to take place at Whitley Park but will now be held at the Magpies' home ground.

The Toon teenagers, who reached the quarter-finals of the competition last year before losing to eventual winners Aston Villa, will be aiming to book a fifth round trip to Blackpool should they overcome their Colchester counterparts.

The young Magpies will be bidding to lift the famous trophy for a third time in the club's history after tasting success in 1962 before a side including Geordie midfielder Paul Gascoigne, lifted the cup in 1985.

Supporters will be able to attend Monday's FA Youth Cup tie at St. James' Park, with season ticket holders gaining free admission, otherwise it's £3 for adults and £1 concessions.
