PUMA and Newcastle United have announced a long-term extension to their partnership
PUMA and Newcastle United have today (Tuesday, 12th August) announced a long-term extension to their partnership which will see the global sports brand remain the Club's official kit supplier into the next decade.
PUMA have supplied the Magpies' kit, replica and training wear since the 2010/11 season and this announcement follows hot on the heels of the reveal of the Club's 2014/15 PUMA home kit, which is now available to pre-order before going on general sale on Thursday (14th August).
Lee Charnley, managing director at Newcastle United, said: "We are absolutely delighted that PUMA will continue to be our official kit supplier.
"Since coming on board in 2010/11, PUMA has been an important and committed commercial partner and we look forward to strengthening our relationship into the next decade."
Paul Spencer, general manager, PUMA UKIB, added: "The partnership we have with Newcastle United is an important one to PUMA as we continue to strengthen our brand presence in football.
"The long-term nature of the new contract demonstrates our commitment to the club and its fans. Newcastle United has a rich history with a loyal fan base and it's a privilege to continue in our role as official kit supplier."
Lee Charnley and Paul Spencer were joined by Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew and members of his first team squad to announce the new deal ahead of a public training session at St. James' Park on Tuesday.
The Magpies' players will be wearing the new 2014/15 during the training session before it is worn for the first time in competitive action for the visit of Premier League champions Manchester City on Sunday (17th August).
