Siem de Jong has vowed to bring attacking quality to Newcastle United's game, after becoming the Magpies' third summer signing.
Following in the footsteps of Ayoze Perez and Jack Colback, the former Ajax captain has put pen to paper on a six-year deal on Tyneside as manager Alan Pardew shapes his squad for the 2014/15 campaign.
And having averaged around a goal every three games during his seven years in the Ajax first team, de Jong is determined to deliver that style at his new home - St. James' Park.
"I hope to bring a lot of attacking play and goals," he told nufcTV in this exclusive interview.
"At Ajax I scored quite a lot of goals as an attacking midfielder - sometimes as a striker - and I hope to do that here too.
"I want to help the team be as good as it can be."
De Jong wore the captain's armband for the last two years at the Amsterdam Arena, lifting the Eredivisie title twice in the process.
"I hope I can bring it here as well," he continued.
"I had a great couple of years (as captain) at Ajax and really improved my leadership skills.
"It was good for me to be captain and to have that opportunity at Ajax. I hope that will help me here."
While at Ajax, de Jong has seen teammates Luis Suarez, Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen all flourish in the Barclays Premier League following moves to the English game.
And the midfielder admitted: "I hope it can be the same for me.
"They were really good players for Ajax. I played with all three of them.
"I hope to see them again soon. I will be playing against them now but it will be nice to do that and it is nice to be in the Premier League."
