Fraser on the cover for new-look programme

Written by Rory Mitchinson

UNITED – Newcastle United’s official matchday programme – is back for the 2021/22 season, with supporters again able to buy their copy around the ground on a matchday.

Produced in conjunction with Curtis Sport, the first issue of the campaign – priced at £3.50 – will be available at Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Norwich City at St. James’ Park (kick-off 2pm).

Adorning the front cover, created by designer Jamie Orrell, is Scottish wide-man Ryan Fraser, who is also the subject of an exclusive, eight-page interview inside.

Elsewhere, County Durham-born swimmer Lyndon Longhorne – who jets off to Tokyo later this month for the re-arranged Paralympic Games – writes for UNITED in the first of a series of guest columns from some of the Magpies’ more famous fans.

As well as six pages of historical content from regular programme contributors Paul Joannou and Stan Gate, we’ll also have all you need to know about Daniel Farke’s Premier League new boys and the first instalment of another new series for the 2021/22 campaign, taking a look back at some of United’s most memorable late goals. Head coach Steve Bruce and skipper Jamaal Lascelles will be providing their usual sets of notes, too.

If you’re not able to make the game, you can still order your programme online – available on Curtis Sport’s website here.
