Loan Watch: Dylan at the double again

A look at the midweek action involving Magpies players currently out on loan...

Dylan Stephenson

Young forward Stephenson was among the goals again on Tuesday night, netting twice for South Shields as they secured a 2-1 home win over Scunthorpe United.

The 21-year-old - who opened his account for the National League North outfit with a brace against Gloucester City a fortnight ago - opened the scoring just after the restart at the 1st Cloud Arena with a superb lob from distance.

Dion Sembie-Ferris levelled for the visitors but with ten minutes remaining, Stephenson struck again after a good run from Paul Blackett, firing home unerringly from the edge of the box to seal the points for Elliott Dickman's men.

Stephenson will now hope to feature again when the Mariners travel to Banbury United on Saturday.

Ryan Fraser

Fraser was introduced as a second half substitute as high-flying Southampton were beaten 2-1 at Hull City in the Championship on Tuesday, with the Scottish winger unable to help his side snatch a point in his half-hour cameo.

Rodrigo Vilca

The Peruvian midfielder wasn't included in FK Vozdovac's squad as they suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Napredak in the Serbian SuperLiga on Monday.
