Wigan knew that victory at Shrewsbury would see them clinch promotion to the Championship as League One winners, and they obliged with a 3-0 win, with on-loan defender Watts playing the full game. The 22-year-old, who signed a new contract with the Magpies in February, has made 35 appearances in all competitions for the Latics this term.
