Team news: Botman starts at Stamford Bridge

Eddie Howe has made three changes to his Newcastle United side for Tuesday's Carabao Cup quarter-final clash with Chelsea - with Sven Botman set to make his first start since September.

The Dutch centre back returns to the line-up to partner captain Jamaal Lascelles at the heart of the Magpies' defence as United look to book their place in the semi-final at Stamford Bridge.

Martin Dúbravka is in goal, with Emil Krafth - in for Dan Burn - at right back and Tino Livramento at left back either side of Botman and Lascelles.

Sean Longstaff and Bruno Guimarães line up in the middle of the park, with 17-year-old Lewis Miley - who scored his first senior goal against Fulham on Saturday - coming into the side in place of Joelinton.

And up front, Callum Wilson will lead the line with support from Miguel Almirón and Anthony Gordon.

Kieran Trippier returns from his suspension to take his place among the substitutes, along with Burn, Paul Dummett, Alex Murphy and Matt Ritchie.

Chelsea loanee Lewis Hall is also on the bench against his parent club, as are goalkeepers Loris Karius and Mark Gillespie.

Newcastle United: Martin Dúbravka; Emil Krafth, Jamaal Lascelles, Sven Botman, Tino Livramento; Sean Longstaff, Bruno Guimarães, Lewis Miley; Miguel Almirón, Callum Wilson, Anthony Gordon.

Substitutes: Loris Karius, Mark Gillespie, Kieran Trippier, Paul Dummett, Dan Burn, Alex Murphy, Lewis Hall, Matt Ritchie.
