Flight of the Mags Competition Terms and Conditions
Parties
Newcastle United Football Company Limited (a company registered in England and Wales with company registration number 00031014) of St James' Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear, NE1 4ST (“NUFC”); and
The “Participant” is any individual who is a Mags Member and/ or season ticket holder for the NUFC Men’s team (a “Season Ticket Holder”) and enters the competition to participate in NUFC’s “Flight of the Mags”, presented by BetMGM (the “Competition”) (Participant and Participants shall be read accordingly).
The Competition
The four (4) Participants selected for the Competition will be invited to take part in a round of darts competing against each other held at NUFC’s Training Ground (the “Training Ground”) on 16 January 2026.
The Participant that achieves the highest score in the round of darts will be invited to St James’ Park (the “Stadium”) on 4 February 2026 to attend a behind the scenes look at the BetMGM Premier League Darts media day , where they will also have the opportunity to meet a professional darts player and will be provided with a chance to win two (2) tickets to the opening night of BetMGM’s Premier League Darts event held in Newcastle on 5 February 2026 (the “Darts Event”).
How to Enter
To enter the Competition, Participants must visit the dedicated landing page for the Competition on the official NUFC website (the “Competition Communications”). A unique link to this page will be sent by email to all eligible Mags Members and Season Ticket Holders. Once on the landing page, an “Enter Here” button will be available. Entries will close at 17:00 GMT on 13 January 2026.
By entering the Competition, the Participant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Eligibility
The Competition is only open to individuals aged 25 (twenty-five) years or over at the date of entry.
NUFC will not accept Competition entries that are:
automatically generated by a computer;
completed by third parties or in bulk;
have been altered, reconstructed, forged, or tampered with; and/or
incomplete.
The Competition is only open to Participants that meet the eligibility requirements set out in the Competition Communications and these terms and conditions, except:
employees of NUFC or its holding or subsidiary companies;
employees of BetMGM or its holding or subsidiary companies, as the Competition is presented by BetMGM and the Ticket Prize (as defined below) is to a BetMGM Darts Event;
employees of agents or suppliers of NUFC or BetMGM or their holding or subsidiary companies who are professionally connected with the Competition and/or its administration; and/or
members of the immediate families or households of 4.3.1 and 4.3.3 above.
In entering the Competition, the Participant confirms they are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any Prize the Participant may win. In respect of the Prize, please refer to section 6 of these terms and conditions below. NUFC may require the Participants selected to participate in the Competition to provide proof that they are eligible to enter the Competition and certify all information provided to be true.
By entering the Competition, the Participant agrees that they:
have no health‐related or other reasons which would preclude the Participant from partaking in the Competition, and that the selected Participants will consult a medical professional prior to participating in the Competition if the Participant has a medical condition that could cause risk when participating in the Competition;
will act responsibly, safely, and sensibly at all times;
will not participate in the Competition intoxicated or under the influence of non-prescription drugs;
will comply with any notices, warnings or instructions that are displayed or given to the selected Participants by NUFC staff; and
will notify NUFC of anything which might affect the Participant partaking in the Competition.
NUFC reserves the right to prohibit a Participant from partaking in the Competition if the Participant does not comply with these terms and conditions including but not limited to NUFC’s ground regulations (including in respect of the Training Ground) and the eligibility requirements set out in these terms and conditions.
In the absence of any negligence or other breach of duty by NUFC, or for liability which cannot be limited by law, by participating in the Competition, Participants agree to partake in the Competition entirely at their own risk and each Participant is liable for any damage or loss caused by or to the Participant as a result of partaking in the Competition.
Selected Participants
NUFC will contact those Participants that have been selected to partake in the Competition as soon as reasonably practicable after the deadline to apply for the Competition.
Any Participant selected to participate in the Competition must provide NUFC with the following information:
full name;
home address;
phone number;
date of birth;
email address; and
any other information set out in the Competition Communications as required.
Participants selected to partake in the Competition shall be required to provide their written consent for their image to be featured in content captured as part of the Competition and which may be published by NUFC on any of its social media channels and/or the NUFC website (“NUFC Media”) and may also be published in collaboration with the Professional Darts Corporation (the “PDC”). By entering this Competition, Participants acknowledge and understand that all aspects of the Competition shall be recorded and photographed for the purposes of publishing such content on NUFC Media, and the successful Participants shall be included in such content. Prior to participating in the Competition, NUFC shall separately provide a release form for the successful Participant(s) chosen to partake in the Competition to populate.
A Participant’s failure to provide any of the information requested at clause 5.2 and/or 5.3 of these terms and conditions when requested by NUFC shall mean that the Participant is not eligible to participate in the Competition.
If the Participant chosen to partake in the Competition objects to any or all of their surname, county and winning entry or their name or nickname being published or made available (including on NUFC’s social media accounts), please contact NUFC at [email protected]. In such circumstances, NUFC must still provide the selected Participant’s surname, county and winning entry or score to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
All Participants selected to partake in the Competition must comply with NUFC’s health and safety instructions and policies.
Written consent for participation in the Competition will be required from each Participant. NUFC will administer and collect this written consent on the day which the Competition is taking place, and participation is conditional upon providing such consent.
The ability to participate in the Competition must not be claimed by a third party on the selected Participant’s behalf.
NUFC will make all reasonable efforts to contact Participants that have been selected to participate in the Competition. If a selected Participant cannot be contacted or is not available or has not responded to NUFC within 1 (one) business day of first being contacted by NUFC after being selected to participate in the Competition, NUFC reserves the right to offer the chance to participate in the Competition to the next eligible entrant selected from the entries that were received by NUFC prior to the cut off period for the Competition.
NUFC does not accept any responsibility or liability if a selected Participant is not able to participate in the Competition.
The Competition Prize
A Participant who is selected to participate in the Competition will win the opportunity to play a round of darts with NUFC players at the Training Ground (the “Playing Prize”).
In addition to the Playing Prize, the Participant who achieves the highest score in the round of darts will also (i) be invited to the Stadium on 4 February 2026 to attend a behind the scenes look at the BetMGM Premier League Darts media day, where they will also have the opportunity to meet a professional darts player (the “Darts Meet and Greet Prize”); and (ii) will be provided with the chance to win two (2) tickets to the Darts Event (the “Ticket Prize”).
For the purposes of these terms and conditions, any reference to the “Prize” shall be a reference to each of the Playing Prize, Darts Meet and Greet Prize and the Ticket Prize, as applicable.
The Ticket Prize shall be provided by NUFC, however it shall be subject to BetMGM’s terms and conditions for the Darts Event NUFC shall not be liable or responsible in any way whatsoever for the Darts Event, which is the sole responsibility of BetMGM.
Data Protection
NUFC will only process the Participant’s personal information as set out at https://www.newcastleunited.com/privacy-policy/.
The Competition winner consents to NUFC sharing their contact details with Bet MGM for the purposes of administering the Prize, in accordance with Bet MGM’s privacy policies and any other terms and conditions provided by Bet MGM as applicable.
Limitation of liability
Insofar as is permitted by law, NUFC and their agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate any Participant or Competition winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of participating in the Competition or taking up the Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of NUFC, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. The Participant’s statutory rights are not affected.
For the avoidance of doubt, NUFC shall not be held liable for the Darts Event or any costs associated with the Ticket Prize including but not limited to travel to, or food and refreshments at, the Darts Event. The Competition winner(s) shall have no recourse whatsoever against NUFC should the Darts Event or BetMGM Premier League Darts media day not proceed or should the Competition winner(s) suffer any damage or loses in connection with the Prize.
General
If NUFC needs to contact a Participant, it will do so by telephone or by writing to the Participant at the email address or postal address provided to NUFC at the point of entry.
When NUFC uses the words "writing" or "written" in these terms, this includes emails.
Photography and video recording may take place prior to, during and after the Competition. By participating in the Competition, the selected Participants acknowledge that images and footage of the Participants may be used by NUFC for marketing and promotional purposes, in accordance with NUFC’s CCTV imaging policy.
If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions by a Participant, NUFC may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude a Participant from participating in the Competition and/or ban the Participant from taking part in future NUFC competitions.
If, related to the Competition, NUFC becomes aware of behaviour that NUFC, in its sole discretion, deems unacceptable, NUFC reserves the right to:
exclude the Participant from participating in the Competition; and/or
ban the Participant from taking part in future NUFC competitions.
NUFC reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
NUFC will comply with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations relating to the Competition.
This promotion and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it shall be governed by and in accordance with English Laws.
