Newcastle United has enhanced its reporting mechanisms for matchday safety and welfare of all supporters at St. James' Park.

In recent months, the club has been part of a pilot initiative from White Ribbon, the UK's leading charity which aims to prevent violence against women and girls, which supported with knowledge sharing and ways of promoting the charity's work.

Through a number of consultation processes, the club recognised a need for increased awareness in and around the stadium, informing supporters of the effective ways in which all abuse and misogynistic behaviour can be reported and prevented.

Supporters heading to St. James' Park can now use the free-of-charge text service to report any incidents, by texting 60070 along with details, including location. Wellbeing Officers, wearing white hi-vis vests, are clearly visible throughout the stadium on matchdays and will treat any reports with understanding and discretion.

For any fans wishing to report abuse or misogynistic behaviour on non-matchdays then there is a number of ways in which they can be done via emailing:

Posters will be displayed in concourses at St. James' Park highlighting the different ways in which reports can be made.

Newcastle United aims to make St. James' Park welcoming for all supporters. All reports will be handled confidentially and appropriately by Newcastle United's Inclusion, Safety & Security and Safeguarding & Wellbeing teams.

Each report is carefully reviewed to ensure appropriate action will be taken, with support available when needed. This will be done in line with our privacy policy.
