In pictures: Magpies lift the Sela Cup at St. James' Park

Seven matches, five wins, two draws, no defeats, 17 goals scored, eight conceded and one trophy.

That's the tale of Newcastle United's pre-season campaign, which came to an end with a 4-0 victory over Villarreal at St. James' Park on Sunday.

Summer signing Harvey Barnes scored twice on his home debut against the side who finished fifth in La Liga last season, while Jacob Murphy and Joelinton were also on target. And the big win, added to the previous day's success against Fiorentina, meant the Magpies lifted the Sela Cup, presented by VisitMalta, in front of their supporters - and go into the Premier League campaign on a high.

Club photographer Serena Taylor, assisted by Michelle Mercer, brought nufc.co.uk this gallery.
