The Lady Magpies are busily recruiting ahead of their upcoming season in the FA Women's National League (FAWNL) Northern Premier Division, and Greenwood becomes the latest addition to Becky Langley's squad.
Greenwood, 24, is a product of Durham Women's development system, playing for Durham Cestria and being in and around the Wildcats' first-team set-up in recent years.
Bringing experience in both the Barclay’s Women's Championship and the FAWNL, she has become the seventh new signing for United's women this summer.
Newcastle Women manager Becky Langley said of Greenwood: "Hannah goes about her business quietly and professionally.
"She's a clever girl and a nice technical player. I've fondly watched Hannah at Durham over the last few years and I know she will be a real asset to Newcastle United."
See Hannah Greenwood in action when Newcastle United Women play West Bromwich Albion Women at St. James' Park on Saturday, 5th August as part of the two-day Sela Cup, presented by VisitMalta. Buy tickets here.
