These terms and conditions apply to both competitions (which may involve a skill-based entry) and prize draws (which are based on chance) which we will set out in the relevant promotion. All references to the "Competition" throughout these terms shall refer to the specific promotion as described in the Competition Communications, whether it is a competition or a prize draw.
Parties
Newcastle United Football Company Limited (a company registered in England and Wales with company registration number 00031014) of St James' Park, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear, NE1 4ST (“NUFC”); and
The “Participant” is the individual who enters the competition (the “Competition”) (Participant and Participants shall be read accordingly).
How to Enter
The competition shall open for the period (the “Competition Period”) set out in the marketing communications from NUFC advertising the competition (the “Competition Communications”)
In order to enter the Competition, Participants must follow the entry procedure set out in the Competition Communications.
By entering the Competition, the Participant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The Competition Communications may outline any other terms and conditions to which Participants are subject to in respect of the Competition.
For the avoidance of doubt, if the Prize includes NUFC home or away match tickets, Participants will be subject to the applicable ground regulations and other applicable terms and conditions of NUFC or the club which NUFC is playing at (e.g. ticketing terms and conditions). For Prizes other than NUFC home or away match tickets, any other applicable terms and conditions and requirements will be outlined in the Competition Communications prior to the award of the Prize.

Eligibility
The Competition is only open to Participants that meet the eligibility requirements set out in the Competition Communications, except:
employees of NUFC or its holding or subsidiary companies;
employees of agents or suppliers of NUFC or their holding or subsidiary companies who are professionally connected with the Competition or its administration; or
members of the immediate families or households of 3.1.1 and 3.1.2 above.
In entering the Competition, the Participant confirms they are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize the Participant may win. NUFC may require the Participant to provide proof that they are eligible to enter the Competition and certify all information provided to be true.
NUFC will not accept Competition entries that are:
automatically generated by computer;
completed by third parties or in bulk;
have been altered, reconstructed, forged, or tampered with; or incomplete.
The Prize
The prize for the Competition is as detailed in the Competition Communications (the “Prize”).
The Prize is subject to availability, in respect of which NUFC reserves the right to substitute any Prize with another prize of equal or greater value.
The Prize is not negotiable, exchangeable, or transferable and may not be exchanged for any cash alternative.
Prize Winner
The winner(s) will be selected in accordance with the method set out in the Competition Communications. For prize draws, winners will be selected at random, and for competitions, winners will be selected based on skill using defined criteria which will be unique to each Competition. In accordance with the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing(CAP Code), evidence of the winner selection process will be maintained and provided to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. NUFC will contact the winners as soon as reasonably practicable after the Competition Period.
To claim the Prize, the winner must provide NUFC with the following information:
full name;
home address;
phone number;
date of birth;
email address; and
any other information set out in the Competition Communications as required to claim the Prize.
The surname and county of the winner will be made available on request to those who contact [email protected] within one month of the closing date of the Competition. NUFC may also publish this information on its social media accounts. If a Participant objects to this information being published or made available, they should contact NUFC at [email protected]. Please note that NUFC must still provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority upon request.
Claiming the Prize
The Prize may not be claimed by a third party on the Participant’s behalf.
NUFC will make all reasonable efforts to contact winners using the method set out in the Competition Communications. If a winner cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed their Prize within 7 (seven) days of first being contacted by NUFC after winning the Prize, NUFC reserves the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the entries that were received during the Competition Period.
NUFC does not accept any responsibility if a winning Participant is not able to collect the Prize.
Data Protection
NUFC will process the Participant’s personal information to administer the Competition, notify winners and for winner announcement purposes as described in these terms. All personal information will be processed in accordance with NUFC's Privacy Policy, available at https://www.newcastleunited.com/privacy-policy/.
Limitation of liability
Insofar as is permitted by law, NUFC and their agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate any winner or Participant or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up a prize or participating in the Competition except where it is caused by the negligence of NUFC, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. The Participant’s statutory rights are not affected.
For the avoidance of doubt, NUFC shall not be held liable for any costs associated with missed, cancelled or changed flights, nor any related baggage charges.
General
If we have to contact you, we will do so by telephone or by writing to you at the email address or postal address you provided to us.
When we use the words "writing" or "written" in these terms, this includes emails.
If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions by a Participant, NUFC may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude a Participant from participating in the Competition and/or ban the Participant from taking part in future NUFC competitions.
If, related to the Competition, NUFC becomes aware of behaviour that NUFC, in its sole discretion, deems unacceptable, NUFC reserves the right to:
withdraw the Prize from the Participant and/or;
exclude the Participant from participating in the Competition; and/or
ban the Participant from taking part in future NUFC competitions.
NUFC reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
NUFC will comply with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations relating to the Competition.
