Newcastle United will begin the 2026/27 Premier League season with a home game against Liverpool.

Supporters can sync Newcastle United's 2026/27 fixtures to their calendars here. The campaign comprises 33 weekend rounds of matches and five midweek sets of games, with the season concluding with simultaneous matches played on Sunday, 30th May at 4pm BST.

Over the Christmas and New Year period, no two match rounds will take place within 60 hours. This is in keeping with commitments made to clubs to address the congested Christmas and New Year schedule within the expanded international calendar.

The Magpies, who are unbeaten in their last four opening day fixtures, welcome the Reds to St. James' Park on Sunday, 23rd August, starting the campaign on Tyneside for the 12th time in their last 15 top flight seasons. Kick-off has been confirmed for 4.30pm BST, with the game set to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

United will then enter the Carabao Cup at the second round stage before a first away day at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, 29th August, while October sees Eddie Howe's side head to the Coventry Building Society Arena for their first-ever Premier League clash at the home of newly-promoted Coventry City.

The eagerly-anticipated first Tyne-Wear derby of the season takes place on Saturday, 5th December with Sunderland visiting St. James' Park, before a typically hectic festive period culminates in back-to-back home games against Manchester City on Boxing Day and Nottingham Forest on Wednesday, 30th December.

The New Year starts at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea on Saturday, 2nd January, which is followed by a clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford four days later before the Magpies' Emirates FA Cup campaign starts over the third round weekend of Saturday, 9th January. United take on reigning Premier League champions Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 23rd January.

Three of Howe's men's final five fixtures are away from home, with the second derby of 2026/27 at Sunderland's Stadium of Light scheduled for Saturday, 1st May. Crystal Palace are the visitors for the last home game of the season on Sunday, 23rd May, and a week later the Magpies bring the curtain down on the campaign at the MKM Stadium, home of Hull City, on Sunday, 30th May.

All fixtures are subject to change for television broadcast purposes. The Premier League have stated that they will "continue to communicate any fixture changes at the earliest opportunity, aiming to give supporters at least six weeks' notice up until the end of the calendar year, and five weeks' from January until the end of the season".
