Dan Burn, Jacob Ramsey, Anthony Elanga and Anthony Gordon all come into the Magpies side in the capital, taking the places of Lewis Hall, Sandro Tonali, Jacob Murphy and Yoane Wissa following Saturday’s home defeat to Brentford.

Hall, Tonali, Murphy and Wissa are all named on the bench for the game against Thomas Frank's men, as United look for a first win in six games in all competitions.

Nick Pope is in goal, with Kieran Trippier and Sven Botman - who scored the opener against the Bees at the weekend - keeping their places and Gordon joining Harvey Barnes in the forward line.

Elanga, Burn and Ramsey join Malick Thiaw, Joe Willock and influential skipper Bruno Guimarães in the line-up too as Howe's charges seek a first victory since January’s Champions League triumph over PSV Eindhoven.

Aaron Ramsdale, Will Osula and Nick Woltemade join youngsters Alex Murphy and Leo Shahar among the substitutes, with Hall, Tonali, Jacob Murphy and Wissa also included.
