The winger - who scored in spectacular fashion in this fixture last season - replaces Harvey Barnes in the only change to the side which started in the win at Burnley on Tuesday.
However, there is a fresh look to the bench with Kieran Trippier, Tino Livramento and Sven Botman all returning to the squad.
Trippier has been sidelined since early November while Livramento was injured in the Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Fulham last month. Botman's most recent appearance was the win against Manchester City in November.
Lewis Miley, however, continues at right back having won the club's Sela Player of the Month award for December.
Yoane Wissa makes his second successive start, having scored at Turf Moor on his full Premier League bow for the club.
It's a century of Premier League appearances for Newcastle for Anthony Gordon, while Fabian Schär racks up his 250th match in all competitions for the Magpies.
