Ramsey's inclusion in the Magpies line-up for the first time since September's third round win at Millwall is head coach Matthias Jaissle's only change from the side that beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in the Premier League on Sunday.

That means Lukáš Horníček continues in goal, with Amar Dedić, Fabian Schär, captain Dan Burn and Lewis Hall forming a back four.

Nico González partners Ramsey in midfield, with Joe Willock also in from the start and Jacob Murphy and Harvey Barnes out wide.

Will Osula - who, along with Barnes, was on target at Selhurst Park at the weekend - leads the line at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Magpies' bench is once again a strong one, with Anthony Elanga, Yoane Wissa, Bazoumana Touré and Joelinton all included.

Sean Steur and Aladji Bamba are also named, along with Sven Botman, Malick Thiaw and Nick Pope.
