Newcastle United Women first team coach Andy Cook has departed the club to take on a new challenge as Head Coach of Norwich City Women.

Cook, who joined from Nottingham Forest Women last summer, was manager Becky Langley’s right-hand man during the title-winning 2023/24 season as the Magpies secured promotion to the Barclays Women’s Championship.

Cook said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Newcastle United and am thrilled with the end result the team achieved last season. I wish everyone at the club a very successful 2024/25 campaign.”

Manager Becky Langley added: “I would like to thank Andy for his contribution to Newcastle United Women last season. His knowledge and experience has helped the team win promotion and I will always be grateful for this. I wish Andy the best of luck for the future."
