Darren England will be the referee for Newcastle United's final home game of the 2023/24 season against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday (kick-off 3pm BST).

United, unbeaten in their last seven outings at St. James' Park, target three consecutive Premier League wins for the first time since September ahead of hosting Roberto De Zerbi's side and this will be the second time England has officiated a fixture involving Newcastle this season.

The 38-year-old whistler, who made his Premier League debut as a referee in January 2020, was the man in the middle for the Magpies' 1-0 defeat away at Luton Town in December, booking a total of four players at Kenilworth Road that afternoon, including Lewis Hall and Bruno Guimarães.

Added to the FIFA List of International Match Officials in December 2021, England has shown four red cards so far during the 2023/24 campaign, sending off Burnley's Lorenz Assignon during March's 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
