The Ireland international completes her move to the Magpies for an undisclosed fee after five years with the Reds.

Leanne made 76 appearances during her time on Merseyside, scoring 23 times. She spent the second half of last season on loan at fellow Barclays Women’s Super League 2 side Nottingham Forest.

After moving from Shelbourne in 2018, the 27-year-old joined West Ham United, making 40 appearances across three years.

Internationally, Leanne has 38 caps for Ireland since making her debut in 2016.

Leanne said: “I’m really excited. I’m looking forward to a fresh start and meeting the fans. It was a dream of mine to come and play professionally and to go to a club like Newcastle, it really felt right when the contact came in.

“I would say I’m a quick attacker in behind, so I feel like I can bring my strengths and hopefully score loads of goal to help the team out.”
