The Magpies will kick-off their pre-season schedule with a behind-closed-doors friendly against Scottish Women’s Premier League side Rangers on Sunday 19th July. Tanya Oxtoby’s side will then take on Barclays Women’s Super League opposition on back-to-back weekends, facing newly promoted Birmingham City, before going up against Everton on Saturday 8th August. Supporters will have their first opportunity to watch the side as part of the VisitMalta Weekender when Inter Women visit St. James’ Park on Sunday 16th August, kick-off 1pm, before the Magpies head to Spain for a week. As part of the camp, BWSL side Manchester United will be the next opponents in a behind-closed-doors fixture on Wednesday 19th August. The trip to Spain will finish with a friendly against Valencia on Sunday 23rd August at Estadio Antonio Puchades, with supporters able to attend free of charge on a first come first served basis. Pre-season will come to a close against fellow Barclays Women’s Super League 2 Burnley at Gateshead International Stadium on Sunday 30th August, kick-off 2pm.
